It all began in the 1950’s when farmer Thomas Reid, of Dalry, founded Messrs Thomas Reid, vending his own milk and then supplied the catering trade with dairy produce, eggs and poultry.
This evolved into Reids Dairy Products under the guidance of Thomas’ son Andrew and the company, growing in stature, became the present Reids Food Service Ltd.
In 2010 having outgrown their existing warehouse Reids moved into their brand new, purpose built premises with space for over 5,000 pallets.
Today the company has a turnover of £15m and supplies some of the largest and smallest catering outlets in the country.
MODERN & MULTIPURPOSE FACILITY
The company is led by Managing Director Andrew Reid and has over 50 employees of which 5 are members of the Reid family.
We operate from our modern, multi purpose facility in Dalry, Ayrshire.
Our fleet of 25 refrigerated vehicles deliver frozen, chilled, ambient, janitorial and non-food products 5-6 days per week.
As a member of the Sterling Supergroup buying consortium we can offer the highest quality products at very competitive prices.
We have a 24 hour telesales/answering machine service and offer next day delivery for orders placed before midnight.
We have NO minimum order value and do NOT add fuel surcharges.
At Reids Food Service, we deliver to most regions across the Scotland 5/6 days a week.
We have a fleet of 17 refrigerated vehicles, which are on the road, delivering our range of ambient, chilled and fresh food on a daily basis.
